Do you ever find yourself wondering where your get-up-and-go went? Thinking, I need to “get rid” of my stress. I need to start eating better (or healthier). I need to be more active. I wish I could get a good night’s sleep. I NEED MORE ENERGY. If I could just lose a few pounds. If I could slow this "mind chatter". What if we approach our health and well-being as if we are eating a dinosaur, one bite at a time. We often overestimate what we can accomplish in one year, but we greatly underestimate what we can achieve in three years.
I am a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach with a Lifestyle Medicine certificate. I have a M.Ed., in special education physical/mental health, social sciences, psychology, and principal K-12. My experience as an educator, Behavioral Specialist, and a Health and Well-being coach has provided me with opportunities to learn and relate with people from all ages, demographics, and cultural backgrounds. My professional and personal experiences have taught me that we all have strengths in our stories. Let me be a part of your journey as you rediscover your strengths.
My experience, my education, and my life has prepared me to be your coach. My journey began years ago, after a series of life’s events showed to me that I needed to make a change. Health and Wellness Coaching enabled me and my loved ones to make that change.
Personal Development and Health and Wellness is about learning your strengths. Getting rid of the guilt, shame, regret, etc. that weighs us down. By building upon your strengths, you become the best version of yourself. Life can be tough. By learning self-compassion and understanding how our mental health affects our physical health. I heard a quote once, “Life doesn’t get any better, we just have to get better at living it.” Health and Wellness coaching can help you develop the skills needed to “get better at living it.”
Spiritual Wellness. Do you believe in the afterlife? Do you believe in strengthening your soul? I studied various philosophies, religions, and ancient cultures and had my own spiritual journey. I discovered, whether it was the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, the Three-Fold Path, or the myths of the Ancient Greeks, etc., they all had one common theme; we humans are works in progress. We respond best to kindness, forgiveness, compassion, empathy and love.
Injury and Recovery Well-Being Coaching. You are the queen or king at backyard sports, whether on the court, on the field, or in the rink, you give it your all. One day, you are in the zone and you hear either “snap, crack, pop or maybe all three. What next? The healing can be daunting, but what is just as daunting is the loss of your independence, financial stress, and the physical and mental pain with an injury.
Aging Loved Ones Well-Being Coaching. We watched my parents slowly lose their independence. We didn’t realize it was happening. My sisters and I were unprepared, for the extra duties and for the reality that our parents are on the last leg of their journey. It teaches you to appreciate the impermanence of life. The most precious thing we have is time. I can aid you and your loved ones on this journey. We will embrace the love that lights the world on fire. The Greeks call it Agape or love in action and there is no greater form of love. As we travel life’s journey sometimes, we have to do the heavy lifting. Let me help lighten the load.
I blend evidence-based practices, education, and engaging activities with Positive Psychology. I like to compare my coaching to a farmer planting seeds. You are the soil, together we water, feed, nurture, and create healthy soil for the seeds to grow in. People rarely make long-term change by being told what to do. I team up with clients to create action plans, brainstorm, create long and short-term goals, and provide support.
I believe in a non-judgmental, client-focused safe space. I am passionate about helping others. You are the expert in your life. Only you know your passions and can unlock your purpose. You will notice these minor changes begin to have major impacts; you may even notice that feeling of joy. We desire quick fixes, from fast food to our electronic devices. We want instant results. What if there are no quick fixes to our health? “Inch by inch life’s a cinch”. Ask yourself, how will that food fuel my mind and body? Is stressing about sitting in traffic or waiting in line, really stressing or just a bother? Do I really need all that drama from the news and social media? How should I let go of the baggage that is holding me back?

I am a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, I have a MS, Education, with certification in special education physical/mental health, social studies/psychology, and administrative leadership K-12. My experience as an educator, Behavioral Specialist, and a Health and Well-being coach has provided me with opportunities to learn and interact with people from all ages, demographics, backgrounds, etc. I discovered, "Life doesn't get better, you just have to get better at living it" When we learn our motivators, we can prioritize, understand, and begin to modify our behaviors. Even with my education and work experience nothing has prepared me more to be your Health and Well-Being coach than life.

We will create a safe place, where you can explore and discover the amazing strengths you already possess, initiate positive changes in your mind, body, and soul. Using a Mindful-Based Health and Well-Being Coaching model with a humanistic approach, that combines discovering your strengths, aspects of mindful based cognitive therapy, WellCoaches, education, and compassionate conversation.

Group Well-Being
During group coaching sessions, individuals can practice awareness skills, role-play situations they’re currently dealing with, share thoughts about positive change or just bounce ideas off each other. (Nonjudgement zone) We also offer self-compassion routines, group meditation techniques, deeper conversations about purpose, and the awareness of life around us.

I watched my parents slowly lose their independence and didn’t realize it, until I did. My sisters and I were unprepared, not for the extra duties, but for the awareness, that our parents are going are on the last part of their life's journey. We began to appreciate life’s impermanence, and recognized that at some point, in this life we may have to wipe a loved one’s a** or they ours.
If that day comes, I can aid you and your loved ones on this journey. We will embrace it with all the love that lights the world on fire. The Greeks call it Agape or love in action and there is no greater form of love. As we travel life’s journey, sometimes we have to do the heavy lifting. Love isn't all rainbows and unicorns, it's the Lotus Flower that grows out of the muck to become its beautiful self. We can build a “vehicle,” from your strengths, equipped with the necessary gear, to aid you and your loved ones as you navigate our ever-changing world.

My Journey
My Purpose
My journey began several years ago after a series of what I perceived as unfortunate events at the time, revealed to me that I needed to make positive changes and take back control of my life. The 25 years of experience in education, special education, combined with behavioral counseling, social work, and National Certified Health and Well-Being Coaching I have learned, that being a human is difficult and we all have a remarkable number of strengths in our stories. We often allow worldly influences to become barriers in our journey to a healthier mind, body, and soul. Let me be a part of your journey to take back control and recognize the amazing strengths you already possess in this universe.
Our focus is “tweaking” our everyday habits, we often overestimate what we can accomplish in one year, but grossly underestimate what we can accomplish in three years. You will observe these subtle changes paying huge dividends and you will notice the healthy choices you are making for your mind, body, and soul.
You will ask questions like; how will that fuel my body? Is stressing about sitting in traffic really stressing or an inconvenience? Do I really need all drama from the news and social media? Your view of your world will be filled with an understanding and letting go of the baggage that is holding you back. When you do encounter the barriers of life, which you will, and so much around you “stinks”, your thoughts will recognize the odor and realize the best fruits and vegetables grow out of the smelliest manure. You will begin to realize that "life doesn’t get better, we have to get better at living it." You will notice little things like a bee on a flower or the way the tree bends in the breeze or the laugh of a loved one and these sights and scenes will begin to open your mind, body, and soul to your purpose.
You begin to realize how amazing your life really is and learn self-compassion because you can’t pour from an empty cup. Every living thing on this planet has a purpose, the fruit trees don’t produce fruit for themselves to eat, but for others and by doing this, their seeds are spread throughout the forest. We have a purpose, but worldly influences and the noise of society too often dictates our choices and those choices often become obstacles in our life’s journey
Life’s classroom continues to teach us lesson after lesson and I fully embrace lifelong learning. Through educating ourselves and discovering the strengths we already possess; we begin to unlock our story. This is my passion, teaching, helping others through kindness compassion, empathy, and understanding. I appreciate life’s journey, the peaks and valleys that make up our story. I appreciate your journey.
